Jenny is the Wilderness Girls’ gal about town, focusing on travel and lifestyle. She is a firm believer that you can find adventure anywhere, be it across the world or in your own backyard. Jenny’s day job as a production manager for the nation’s largest content marketing firm involves coordinating hundreds of print marketing pieces a year for dozens of healthcare and Fortune 500 company clients. Her OCD tendencies that she cultivated throughout her life make her a natural fit for this type of work, and she hopes to pass on some of those skills to her readers to use in their travel and everyday lives. At home, she spends time with her husband, Bryan, and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Penny Lane and Eleanor Rigby. She spends her free time remodeling their 1957 ranch, seeing as many movies as possible, and enjoying time with friends. She loves Disney, cupcakes and HGTV marathons.
The Wilderness Girls Q&A
Questions posed to each Wilderness Girl, from her fellow Wilderness Girls.
Question from Christie: If you could go anywhere in the world for a month with all expenses paid and be 100% assured that no harm would come to you where would you go and what would you see?
I know that safety wouldn’t really be a concern there, but I would do a trip through Europe as I would be able to travel to a large number of countries, see amazing architecture, and most importantly, eat a lot of amazing food!
Question from Christina: If you had the chance to interview someone (living or dead), who would you choose and what’s one question that you would ask them?
I would probably interview Abraham Lincoln as I would be incredibly curious to find out what his post-Civil War reconstruction plans would have been (since he was assassinated before reconstruction began) and also to get his views on politics today.
Question from Jenny: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
It would be one of two things. I would either want to be able to stop time so that I could get more done during the day (my big goal would be to learn another language), or I would want to have super speed so that I could travel more quickly from coast to coast, or at least avoid the headache that is the airport.
Question from Rachael: It’s your birthday, you have a beautiful cake and you are surrounded by friends singing Happy Birthday. As you blow out the candles you think about how fortunate you are. Suddenly, a Fairy Godmother appears from the wispy candle smoke. “Congratulations!” she exclaims. “The Fairy Godmother High Council has decided to grant this birthday wish because it will bring joy to so many people.” What did you wish for? Why?
I would wish that no one would ever have to worry where their next healthy meal was coming from. Because of food insecurity (not knowing where your next meal is coming from), and hunger, there are many children who are not growing to their full potential, physically or mentally.
